In addition to the savings achieved from making the purchase from Nuix Technology (UK) Limited, a technical case can be made in line with Regulations 33 (1) (b) (ii) and (iii) of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, as Nuix Technology (UK) Limited is the sole developer of the software therefore the owner of the intellectual property rights (IPR) and they have not licensed any other company to provide licensing or support for this product. Consequently there are no other providers of the software and therefore, in order for Police Scotland to purchase licences, a contract should be awarded to Nuix Technology (UK) Limited.
