The successful "applicant (s)" will be required to: - Carry out site/soil surveys of afforested, clear felled, open hill and ex-agricultural land (please note that a large proportion will be either afforested or clear-fell). - Record the site/soil patterns and associated specific data, using the FC soil classification. - Map Soil Polygons and associated linear and point data in a digital format. - Deliver all data outputs from the survey, as specific format GIS themes (currently a bespoke version of GIS Forester), together with associated attribute tables. - Produce a written report for each site Training in the digital mapping of soils in the bespoke GIS formats, will be provided. Renewal: Option of 1x12 month extension Inverness Ross and Skye 1.3 The FC has an ongoing requirement for the provision of soil surveys across all of Scotland.
