## Summary

The procurement process is being conducted by the Scottish Prison Service for the project titled "10471: Women's National Facility". This initiative falls under the works category and is designed to create a secure environment for women in custody, particularly those with complex needs. The facility is located at HMP & YOI Cornton Vale, Edinburgh, UK. The procurement stage currently is in the Award phase, with the contract already signed on 13 December 2019, valued at approximately £53.83 million. The timeline includes completion of Phase 1 by December 2021, with Phase 2 finalising by February 2023. The procurement method used is a selective process following a restricted procedure.

This tender provides substantial opportunities for construction firms, particularly those with experience in delivering similar projects. Companies specialising in large-scale developments, including design and build contracts, will find a fitting match for their services. Businesses capable of adhering to Building Information Modelling (BIM) standards and actively engaging in community benefits initiatives will be especially well-positioned to compete. The successful project will not only enhance brand visibility but may also foster further community engagement and support, thereby contributing to long-term growth.
