As Midlothian Council prioritises community engagement, contractors proposing innovative local initiatives may enhance their competitiveness in this procurement process. ## Notice Engineering inspection services ### Lot Information Lot 1 Midlothian Council, the Authority, is seeking to appoint a suitably skilled, resourced and experienced Contractor to undertake statutory engineering inspections within its non-domestic property portfolio, and to report on the condition of building services within each property for the purposes of; -Providing Midlothian Council with regular reports on the condition of the applicable equipment and plant so that it may arrange and undertake any necessary remedial works. -Providing Midlothian Council's insurers with reliable information on the condition of equipment and plant. -In addition to the above, the Authority requires a one-off Audit to be completed within the first year of the contract regarding existing equipment and plant, for the purposes of creating a more accurate and definitive asset list for use by the Council and to enable more accurate billing.
