Lot 1

Glasgow Kelvin College is seeking to engage the services of a suitably experienced Supplier to provide legal services relating to People Matters and Employment law. The requirements of the service are set out below. 2.1.2. The services to be provided by the supplier would include but not be limited to the following: * Contract and Policy Audit and Review - to audit and review existing policies and assist with the development and implementation of new policies in line with legislation and case law; * Organisational Procedures - advice and guidance in establishing procedures to ensure that policies are effectively implemented. To provide advice on the structuring and content of staff contracts of employment also in relation to individual consultancy agreements, individual contracts, etc; * Human Resources/Personnel Support - provide support and advice to College management and Human Resources/Personnel professionals on employment law issues from providing guidance on handling disciplinary issues, dismissals, grievances, health and safety to framing letters; * Restructuring/Outsourcing - advice on internal restructuring exercises. Advice on outsourcing in relation to the Transfer Regulations and forming of specifications for tendering exercises; * Employment tribunals - advice, preparation, including completion of paperwork and guidance for witness on behalf of the college, and representation; * Employment relations; * Employment contracts and Terms and Conditions advice; * Immigration/Border Agency regulations; * Equality and diversity; * Organisational change; * Health and safety; * TUPE; * Pension law and advice; * Student support * Regulatory matters; and * Data protection and Freedom of Information

Renewal: The College can elect to extend the contract for an additional year.
