## Summary

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds is seeking contracts for the "Sea Defence Restoration" project at Larne Lough, Northern Ireland. This initiative falls under the works category and is classified within the environmental protection industry. The procurement process is currently at the Award stage, with a contract value of £371,408. The contract was signed on 10th October 2018, and completion of all works is mandated to be finalised by 26th February 2019. Key tasks include restoration and resurfacing works, with operations on-site restricted until after the bird breeding season ends, anticipated around 1st September 2018.

This project presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in civil engineering, environmental restoration, and marine construction. Companies with expertise in managing temporary and permanent works, compliance with marine construction licences, and ecological considerations would be particularly well-suited to compete. As the procurement method employed is an open procedure, this invites various suppliers to participate, enabling firms to expand their portfolio and enhance their operational footprint in the public sector. Businesses looking to grow should consider aligning their services with the specific requirements outlined in this tender, which emphasises ecological sensitivity and regulatory compliance.
