## Summary

The Northumberland County Council conducted a tender for the "SPS01241 - Non Destructive Testing Union Chain Bridge Project," which aims to perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on wrought iron elements of the historically significant Union Chain Bridge. This procurement, classified under services, utilised an open procedure and was active until the submission deadline of 20 July 2018. The project is located in Northumberland, UK, specifically at County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF. As of now, the project has been awarded, with contracts having a total value of £2,150 and signed on 1 October 2018. The successful supplier for this contract was Enermech, a small- to medium-sized enterprise located in Aberdeen.

This tender presents a vital opportunity for businesses in the engineering and testing services sectors, particularly those specialising in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and structural inspections. Companies capable of providing comprehensive testing methods, risk assessments, and method statements will find themselves well-suited to compete for similar contracts. This project not only showcases the potential for profit but also promotes community engagement through the preservation of a heritage site, encouraging businesses to participate in projects that hold historical and cultural significance.
