## Summary

The procurement process titled "Electronic Requesting and Reporting of Examinations" has been conducted by The Common Services Agency (NHS National Services Scotland) based in Edinburgh, UK. This initiative falls under the health services industry category and is at the Award stage following a limited procurement method. The contract, valued at £300,000, was signed on 16th July 2018, after having undergone prior planning stages and was initiated without prior publication of a call for competition. The aim of this procurement is to replace paper-based processes with an electronic system that facilitates interoperability among clinical laboratories within Scotland and other parts of the UK.

This tender presents considerable opportunities for growth, particularly for businesses engaged in healthcare technologies and laboratory information systems. Companies specialising in digital health solutions or those with expertise in developing electronic reporting systems would be well-suited to compete for similar future contracts. Additionally, suppliers providing complementary services or advanced functionalities in medical microbiology and histopathology could find valuable prospects for collaboration, especially as the solution is likely to expand to incorporate further health board requirements in the future.
