It is a quality and improvement programme designed to increase the purchase of second hand goods over new across Scotland. The programme consists of two strands - the certification of stores meeting product and retail standards, and the promotion of the brand to Scottish consumers. The certification programme consists of: a baseline assessment of organisational and product checking processes; mystery shopper visit and report; retail training; on-site bespoke retail support; support materials (including product checking guidance and visual merchandising e-news); retail audit; and final validation..
