## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority is currently conducting a public procurement process for the "Forensic Services Logistics Solution". This tender falls under the services category, specifically aimed at public order and safety. The location for the services will primarily be Scotland, with potential requests across the UK. The procurement process commenced on 11 October 2018 and the tender submission period will close on 12 November 2018 at 12:00 UK time. The estimated contract value is £900,000 excluding VAT, with an initial term of three years and an option to extend for an additional year. This procurement is being conducted through an open procedure, inviting bids from any interested parties.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses providing logistics and forensic services, particularly those with experience in handling sensitive materials and compliance with legal requirements, such as the Firearms Act. Companies that can demonstrate a strong track record in service delivery and possess relevant quality control processes will be well-positioned to compete. Furthermore, businesses should be prepared to meet financial criteria, including a minimum annual turnover of £500,000.
