Breast Insert and Fitting Service - City of Edinburgh Area

NHS Lothian's Oncology Department provides breast inserts and a fitting service when required to its patients. This service is currently carried out by third party suppliers at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh and St John's Hospital, Livingston. Across these two sites approximately 800 new breast cancers are diagnosed each year. The breast insert service is offered to those patients who require mastectomies and, taking into account replacement inserts, this results in approximately 500 breast inserts being provided and fitted each year. NHS Lothian wishes to revise the service so that it is provided off site. Suppliers may use their own premises or concessions set within other suppliers' premises. The tender comprises 3 lots, one for a service located in Edinburgh, a second for a service located in West Lothian, and a third for a site or sites located elsewhere in the Lothian area. Suppliers may bid for one, two or all three lots.

Renewal: 12 month optional extension at NHS Lothian's discretion.
