## Summary

The SRUC (Scotland's Rural College), located in Edinburgh, has initiated a tender for the "Contract for the provision of Specialised Market Research Services." This process is currently in the planning stage, with a total estimated value of £70,000. The submission deadline for tenders is set for 14 November 2018, at 12:00 PM. The focus of this procurement falls under the Education, Research & Consultancy industry category, primarily aimed at enhancing market understanding to support the college's strategic initiatives across its regional campuses.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in market research, consultancy, and analytical services, particularly those that are small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Companies that possess expertise in understanding educational market trends, feasibility studies, and strategic development would be particularly well-positioned to compete. The emphasis on innovative approaches and effective stakeholder communication within SRUC's strategy highlights the potential for collaborative partnerships, driving business growth in a rapidly evolving educational environment.

## Notice

SRUC is undergoing major organisational change as it responds to a rapidly changing education market and industry. We have a bold new strategy which underpins and connects our local, national and international priorities. It will enable us to drive the rural economy in Scotland and beyond while also positioning us to tackle a number of the huge global issues in food, nutrition and environmental security. SRUC therefore requires specialist market research services to understand market trends and demands to support the feasibility of academic programmes, location of faculty activities and market position of SRUC in each of its three regional campuses. From there, we will be in a position to communicate with increased confidence with our external influencers and stakeholders about our strategic direction and choices, as well as to ensure that we are on the best path to becoming a 21st Century University.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

This market research work is a critical aspect of a number of Business Cases (both Outline and Full Business Case) that are under way in support of the development of our three new regional Faculties. SRUC seeks to understand the trends, drivers and complexities of its market position and opportunities for student recruitment with these faculties' contexts. Specifically, the organisation wishes to understand the broad market factors that are at play with regards to its portfolio potential, and the likely ramifications on target-setting and academic portfolio development. Tenderers must complete and submit both the ESPD, and Tender Schedule 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of this document. Failure to complete and submit the ESPD, and Schedule 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 will result in the tenderer's submission being rejected. After evaluation of Tender Schedules 3 and 4, the top two ranked suppliers will be invited to present their proposal to a panel drawn from SRUC's Executive Leadership Team. Presentations will be scored, as per the Tender Guide to Marking Criteria, and this score will be added to that awarded for Tender Schedule 3 and 4 to give a final aggregate score.
