## Summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council has initiated a procurement process titled "Waste Treatment and Disposal Services (Reception Facilities)" to secure suitably permitted or licensed waste reception, treatment, and disposal facilities. This open procedure is currently in the tender stage and includes several lots for specialised waste services, such as bulky, green, and mixed plastic waste. The council's procurement address is located in Dumfries, with the current tender period ending on 13 December 2018, following which the award period will commence.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses in the waste management and environmental services sector, especially those specialising in waste disposal and recycling. Companies with appropriate permits and experience in handling various waste types, including inert waste, recyclates, and special materials like asbestos, would be well-suited to compete for these contracts. Engaging with Dumfries and Galloway Council can unlock growth potential through sustained service contracts and alignment with community benefits objectives.
