The National Improvement Framework for Scottish Education collates information to evaluate performance and informs the action taken to improve attainment and wider outcomes for every child in Scotland. The Framework sets out the Scottish Government's vision and priorities for Scotland's children - particularly for the most disadvantaged - and the drivers of improvement. It builds on the best practice within Curriculum for Excellence in using a range of data and evidence to report and plan improvements for children and young people. As part of the National Improvement Framework Programme, the Scottish Government has developed, in conjunction with Giglets Education Ltd , a new cloud based platform for the delivery of Gaidhlig medium education standardised assessments to publicly funded Scottish schools. This follows the development of standardised assessments for English Medium Education (EME) which commenced distribution in August 2017. The site, which is due to go live this calendar year, will be hosted at measaidheancoitcheann.gov.scot (and associated subdomains). A user acceptance environment will be available. A User Researcher and an Information Security Officer are required to progress the work of both this Project, to support the introduction of Gaidhlig medium education standardised assessments into schools within our projected timescale, and our sister project - Scottish National Standardised Assessments (SNSA).
