## Summary

The procurement process concerns the "Path works", part of a broader initiative managed by the Transport Planning and Engineering organisation, located at 24 Blythswood Square, Glasgow. This project, classified under the works category, aims to establish a long-distance shared-use path along the disused Loch Earn railway line, spanning approximately 1.8 km. The tender has been executed through an open procurement method, with the award confirmed on 9 January 2019. Notable dates include the end of the tender period on 5 December 2018, and the works are prominently located between Glenbeich and Ardveich in the UKM77 region.

This contract represents a substantial opportunity for businesses in the construction and civil engineering sectors, specifically those skilled in pathway and landscape works. Companies that are well-versed in similar projects, including those with expertise in drainage, fencing, and signage installation, would be particularly well-suited to compete. Moreover, given that the project received funding from Forth Valley & Lomond LEADER and the Scottish Government, collaborative opportunities may arise for SMEs to partner in delivering community-focused infrastructure improvements.
