## Summary

Argyll and Bute Council is seeking to provide Care at Home Services to Older People in the UK, specifically aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals in their own homes. The procurement process, currently at the Award stage, involves a limited method without prior publication of a call for competition, reflecting the unique nature of the services required. The initial contract was awarded on 3rd April 2017, with a value of £36 million. The services will primarily be delivered across the Argyll and Bute area.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in care services, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that focus on social care and support interventions. Providers such as Allied Healthcare Group Limited and Argyll Homecare Ltd are examples of organisations that can compete effectively in this market. Given the continued need for care at home services and the impending call for new providers to join the qualified list, businesses with expertise in health and social care are highly encouraged to express their interest and participate in future opportunities within this framework.
