DCC's overall aspirations are then to position the 5G Testbed as a collaborative platform to work with a wide variety of industry, public sector and academic partners to test new ways of deploying and testing the technology platforms that will be needed to provide seamless 5G connectivity across the Waterfront in future. ### Lot Information Lot 1 Dundee City Council (DCC)are reviewing requirements for delivery focusing on the creation of a 5G Testbed utilising DCC assets (such as ducting, street furniture, power and buildings) that will be underpinned by full fibre and the initial deployment of good quality public Wi-Fi within the Dundee Central Waterfront area. DCC's overall aspirations are then to position the 5G Testbed as a collaborative platform to work with a wide variety of industry, public sector and academic partners to test new ways of deploying and testing the technology platforms that will be needed to provide seamless 5G connectivity across the Waterfront in future. DCC also wish to understand how it can work with its partners to develop new commercial models that can be validated prior to wider deployment across the City. Furthermore, it is anticipated that this collaborative environment will act as a catalyst for the development of 5G use cases that could utilise Dundee's local strengths such as gaming, cyber security and the transformation of specific public services.
