## Summary

The University of Edinburgh is planning a tender for the maintenance of ACE short lease properties, which includes services such as joinery, plumbing, electrical work, gas and heating engineering, glazing, plastering, roofing, locksmithing, and painting. This contract focuses on both planned and reactive maintenance, particularly emergency repairs requiring quick responses. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a future notice scheduled for 17 December 2018. This initiative aims to service approximately 150 properties, with plans to increase this to around 170 within the next year, located in Edinburgh, UK.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the maintenance and construction sectors, particularly those specialising in multi-trade services. Companies capable of providing comprehensive property maintenance and compliance services would be well-suited to compete for this contract, especially those experienced in rapid response emergency situations. Collaborations among firms offering different specialisations, such as plumbing or electrical work, could enhance tender competitiveness, aligning with the University’s objectives to streamline property management efficiently.

## Notice

Multi trade supplier including joinery, plumbing, electrical, gas and heating engineer (including boiler replacements), glazier, plasterer, roofer, locksmith and painter. This includes planned and reactive maintenance - the majority of the maintenance work is reactive. ### Lot Information

Lot 1

The contract opportunity is for the provision of Property Maintenance and Compliance across the current portfolio of 150 privately owned (University managed) properties. ACE is aiming to grow this portfolio to approximately 170 properties within the next 12 months. ACE envisage that either one supplier will provide service delivery for both maintenance and compliance for these properties or that the maintenance and compliance are split into two separate lots.
