## Summary

The procurement process, led by Scottish Natural Heritage, focuses on the tender titled "Barnacle goose ring re-sighting and productivity in the Uists." This initiative falls under the environmental protection category within the services industry and is located in Inverness, UK. Currently, the tender is at the Award stage, with the contract having been signed on 14th February 2019, valued at £4,378. The open procurement method was employed, enabling a competitive bidding environment for this project, which aims to assess barnacle goose populations through rigorous field surveys conducted in the Uists.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses operating within ecological and wildlife research sectors. Enterprises that specialise in ornithology, environmental monitoring, or ecological consulting would be particularly well-suited to compete. Given the focus on breeding success assessment and data collection for management decisions, bids from small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with proven experience in similar contracts would be advantageous. Engaging in this project could enhance visibility and credibility in the field of environmental conservation and support potential growth through future public contracts.

An assessment of the breeding success of the barnacle geese wintering in the Uists; to be conducted during December and January. 2. Ring re-sighting data.
