## Summary

The National Library of Scotland is initiating a tender for a project titled "Music Card Catalogue Keyboarding". This procurement, located in Edinburgh, seeks to advance the online availability of its Music Collection catalogue. Currently in the planning stage, key documents and details about the initiative were published on 19 December 2018, with the library aiming to collect contractor responses by 18 February 2019. The project involves transferring data from scanned card catalogues into a robust database, and is categorised under services, specifically related to general public services.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in data entry, database management, and archival services. Companies experienced in handling large datasets, particularly those adept in converting physical records into digital formats, would be well-positioned to compete. Given the scope of approximately 500,000 records, firms that can demonstrate efficiency, accuracy, and technological capability to meet the project's requirement within a nine-month timeframe will be able to enhance their business growth through this contract.
