Scottish Borders Council is in the process of reviewing future requirements for transport provision. During this period the highest priority for the Council is to existing service delivery. Therefore until the review has been completed and to avoid a disruption to existing service delivery it is necessary that existing arrangements relating to local transport provision continues. Consideration was given to all available options and this approach offered the most appropriate solution in the short-term to delivering best value while meeting the necessary requirement of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
