The Galloway Glens Landscape Partnership Scheme (GGLP) with Dumfries and Galloway Council being the contracting authority would like to commission a community archaeology programme to be known as 'Can You Dig It'. This programme will consist of two phases working towards a specific timetable to meet the required outcomes. This contract will consist of a programme of community information events, a programme of non-invasive archaeological surveys, at least 2 excavations at specified sites and training events for volunteers. It is also anticipated that this contract will have both Primary and Secondary school involvement including school visits and the creation of teaching resources working alongside the local schools involved to create the resources.
