## Summary

Historic Environment Scotland is conducting a public procurement process for a contract titled "Underwater Archaeology," aimed at the investigation, recording, conservation, and protection of significant underwater heritage assets in Scottish territorial waters. The procurement is currently active with a submission deadline of 14 February 2019, and involves an open procedure under the services category. The contract will be executed in multiple lots covering different geographical areas including the North Coast and Northern Isles, as well as Mainland Scotland and the Western Isles. The evaluation criteria focus on a combination of technical quality and pricing, with specific address locations specified for delivery.

This tender presents valuable opportunities for businesses specialising in archaeological services, environmental conservation, and marine heritage studies. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), particularly those experienced in underwater assessments and conservation work, would be well-suited to compete for this contract. Additionally, companies capable of undertaking field assessments, remedial actions, and data archiving are encouraged to participate, as the project aims to address significant risks associated with underwater heritage sites.
