## Notice

Innovate Your Business (IYB) is a programme offering one-to-one support to the wider SME business base throughout the Highlands and Islands. This tender exercise was to appoint a supplier to deliver the IYB programme, on behalf of HIE, from 2019 till 2022. The services will be required from April 2019 for an initial period of 33 months unless terminated in accordance with the provisions of the Contract, with HIE having the option to extend for a period or periods together not exceeding 3 months following the Initial Term.

Lot 1

Support through IYB takes the form of guidance from the supplier on a range of issues related to business innovation. These areas could include, but are not limited to, how to structure a project, finding collaborators, marketing and commercialisation, IP considerations and securing funding to take innovation projects forward. A large part of the work will be delivering one-to-one support. Businesses can benefit from up to a maximum of 2 days' worth of support, although not all will require this. It is expected that a proportion of businesses will benefit from 'advanced one-to-one' (i.e. greater than 4 hours) support. In addition to one-to-one support, a number of one-to-many events will be held. As well as directly supporting clients, the supplier will also have responsibility for reporting to the HIE innovation team on activity and will also be expected work closely with HIE and our marketing supplier(s) to promote the programme to relevant audiences.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.

Renewal: Option to extend for a period or periods together not exceeding 3 months following the Initial Term.
