## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority is seeking contractors to provide boarding up services across Scotland, following the completion of the tender process for this £4 million contract. The procurement was initiated on 21 January 2019 and closed on 20 February 2019. The process was conducted via an open procedure, and key services are aimed at securing private premises, especially in cases of forced entry or crime scenes. The selected contractor will be involved in a substantial number of call-outs, similar to the 5,000 incidents recorded in the previous financial year.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses in the security and facilities management sectors, particularly those with experience in emergency services and rapid response. Companies equipped to handle high-pressure situations and deliver quality customer service will be well suited to compete. Additionally, local suppliers can benefit from the requirement for community engagement as part of the procurement, making this an ideal opportunity for SMEs and larger firms looking to expand their service offerings in the public sector.
