## Summary

The North Lanarkshire Council is initiating the planning stage for a public procurement process titled "Collaborative Residential Utility Switching Scheme – “It Pays to Switch.”" Located in Motherwell, UK, this procurement falls under the services sector and aims to procure a service provider to manage the utility switching scheme. Key dates include a planned future notice expected on 31 May 2019, with individual meetings with potential providers anticipated to take place in mid to late February 2019. The council is seeking partners with existing collaborative utility switching models to assist in delivering the scheme.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in utility management, customer service, and auction facilitation. Companies with experience in operating collaborative utility switching models would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. Providers interested in this engagement should contact Euan Walker at North Lanarkshire Council to arrange meetings; participation will allow them to gain insights into the procurement process and contribute to the successful implementation of the scheme.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The development of the Scheme is still in its early stages and it is currently envisaged that the service required would follow (albeit final specification and process are to be agreed) the summary below. In order to facilitate the Scheme, the Council is required to procure a service provider who will act as a broker / agent who already has an existing collaborative utility switching model that the Council could also have access to. The appointed service provider would be responsible for the management of the Scheme and would be required to provide administration resource for tasks including online registrations, call centre staff, relevant engagement with the energy providers; hosting of auctions etc. It is currently anticipated that collective switching auctions would run on a quarterly basis with the Council receiving a cash rebate for every new registration signed up and taken part in an auction.
