## Summary

The procurement process, initiated by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, is for the "Provision of Managed Transport Service," which falls under the health industry category. The tender involves service delivery across several regions including Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire, South Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, and Inverclyde, with an expected annual requirement of approximately 112,800 journeys. The procurement stage is classified as active, with a tender submission deadline having been set for April 5, 2019. The procurement method used is selective through a restricted procedure, and stringent criteria have been established to mitigate risks related to serious organised crime within this sector.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for transport service providers equipped to meet specific service and compliance requirements. Companies specialising in passenger and urgent package transport, with capabilities to operate within a sector exposed to potential serious organised crime risks, would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, businesses that can demonstrate experience and reliability in managing high volumes of diverse transport journeys, along with meeting rigorous health and safety standards, will likely find success in the bidding process.
