### Procurement Information

The Authority considers that the use of the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice in terms of Regulation 33(1)(b)(ii) of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 is justified in the circumstances below: The Authority is in the process of putting in place long term service provision. During this period the highest priority is continuation of waste services to the community. The Covid-19 pandemic further impacted the timeline for having in place this long term service provision, with service continuity and delivery being the utmost importance. Therefore until the long term arrangements are finalised and to avoid a detrimental impact on current waste service provision it is essential that the existing arrangement continues. It is expected that the long term arrangements will be concluded around June 2021.
