Energy Efficient Scotland is an ambitious programme that will reduce energy demand and contribute to achieving our climate change targets, whilst continuing to help tackle fuel poverty and ensuring Scotland is a good place to do business. We have already demonstrated the potential economic, social and health benefits of energy efficiency measures. We are clear that all buildings should achieve the long-term standard where it is technically feasible and cost effective. As part of our wider, ongoing work into the energy performance assessment process, we need to undertake work to examine what is technically feasible and cost effective. Statistical modelling is required to do this.
