## Summary

The University of Edinburgh is executing a public procurement process titled "Wideband Magnetotelluric (MT) Instrumentation". This tender falls within the education and medical research sectors and is located in Edinburgh, UK. The procurement process is currently in the Award stage, with the award of the contract having been signed on 27 March 2019, for a total value of £117,000. The tender opportunity involved the supply of two complete Wideband MT systems, aimed at enhancing the geophysical equipment available for research purposes. The procurement was conducted using an open procedure, inviting submissions from all interested suppliers.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in geophysical instrumentation, particularly those who can provide high-performance equipment relevant to research and development in the natural environment. Companies that manufacture or supply technical equipment and services in the field of geophysics, as well as those with experience in public sector contracts and compliance with regulatory procurement standards, would be well-suited to compete. Given the scale of the order, it could also be advantageous for larger companies or consortiums with capabilities that meet or exceed the specified requirements to participate and potentially grow their market presence through successful contract execution.
