## Summary

The procurement process managed by Zero Waste Scotland Ltd aims to engage local business partners for the "Circular Economy Cities & Regions – Business Engagement Partners" initiative. This initiative falls under the services category and is primarily focused on various locations across Scotland, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, North-east Scotland, and Tayside. Currently in the award stage, the initial tender period concluded on 1 May 2019, with significant contracts awarded to various suppliers, such as the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce and the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, on 4 June 2019. The project is anticipated to run until at least 2022, with an overall budget allocation of £800,000 GBP.

This procurement presents notable opportunities for businesses specialising in environmental services, business consultancy, and engagement strategies, especially those well-versed in circular economy practices. Enterprises capable of establishing strong local and regional networks could leverage their expertise to successfully compete for contract roles. Furthermore, businesses familiar with working within the public sector framework and having demonstrated capability in fostering partnerships with stakeholders in the local economy would be ideally positioned to succeed in this tender. The competition invites submissions for multiple lots, allowing participants the flexibility to propose for just one or several of the identified areas.
