## Summary

The procurement process, initiated by Fife Housing Group, involves the tender titled "Review of IT Infrastructure and support provision" in the services industry. This project is based in Dunfermline, UK, and aims to upgrade IT infrastructure during the refurbishment of the organisation’s headquarters. The procurement method adopted is an open procedure, and the award of the contract occurred on 31 December 2015, with a total value of £44,000. The contracting authority is responsible for consolidating its services, which requires relocating IT infrastructure to a new Disaster Recovery site.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in IT consultancy and infrastructure solutions, particularly those with experience in strategic IT reviews, disaster recovery planning, and telecommunications. Companies like Shaw Consulting Ltd, who successfully won the contract, exemplify the type of supplier well-suited for this project. The ongoing evolution within Fife Housing Group's IT services creates a strong market for providers of modernised IT systems and innovative communication links, thereby fostering potential growth in the sector.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The Association is currently refurbishing its headquarters building and consolidating many of its services into the one building. This requires you to relocate much of your IT infrastructure to a new Disaster Recovery site and revisit your communications requirements. Although some of the main servers were replaced in March 15, the Storage Area Network is 6 to 7 years old and much of the client side equipment is aging. The phone system is also based on old technology and presents a business continuity risk. The Hardware infrastructure has been in place for some time and the support contract has not been market tested in any way for a number of years. The Lochgelly depot is connected via an Ethernet link and some thought will have to be given to new communications links. With such significant changes about to take place this would be an ideal opportunity for FHA to perform a strategic review of its IT requirements. The last time any such review was carried out was in 1997. This would be an opportune time for you to review and consider your options and make a considered decision on the most appropriate strategic path to follow. In effect take time to draw breath and decide on your next actions in relation to IT.
