## Summary

The North Ayrshire Council is seeking a provider for the "Early Prevention and Intervention Support Service for North Ayrshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership," aimed at delivering support services to individuals aged 16 and over requiring help with alcohol and drug issues. The procurement, classified under the 'services' category, is at the award stage, with the contract having been signed on 18th June 2019, signalling a total value of £899,633. The service is to be operated continuously throughout the year and will include both daytime and flexible evening or weekend support. Bidders were required to submit their proposals by 2nd May 2019, following an open procurement method that allows any interested party to participate.

This contract presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those with experience in substance abuse and recovery support. Companies that can demonstrate a successful track record in delivering community-focused interventions and possess the necessary qualifications for staff, such as peer support workers with lived experience of addiction, are particularly well-suited to compete. The focus on flexibility, community engagement, and the requirement for innovative delivery models means that both larger providers and smaller consortiums could find a valuable niche in contributing to this important community service initiative.
