## Summary

The Scottish Government is currently planning a Request for Information (RFI) titled "RFI for Research into Restricting Promotion of Discretionary Foods." This procurement falls under the services category and is focused on analysing the impact of marketing restrictions on sales of discretionary foods, particularly regarding multi-buy promotions. The location of this procurement is Livingston, Scotland, and the future notice date for any updates related to this process is set for 17th July 2019. The total estimated value for this information gathering process is £90,000, and it is important to note that this is not a commitment to tender as the RFI is a preliminary step in the procurement process.

This RFI presents an opportunity for firms specialising in market research, food policy analysis, or public health to engage with the Scottish Government. Companies that have expertise in analysing consumer behaviour and the impact of marketing strategies on health outcomes would be well-suited to contribute to this research. Participating in this process could lead to future procurement opportunities as the government may seek contractors to execute the actual analysis based on the insights gathered from this RFI.
