## Summary

The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service has awarded a contract for Microsoft Premier Support, aimed at enhancing its use of Microsoft technologies across critical applications such as Case Management Services and Email. Located in Edinburgh, this procurement falls within the services industry category and was conducted through an open procedure procurement method. The contract, valued at £50,840.82, was signed on 29th March 2019, marking its completion stage with only one bid received for this tender (COPFS-2018-0102).

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses well-versed in Microsoft services and support capabilities, particularly those that can provide proactive support and advice for Microsoft technologies. Companies that specialise in IT services, particularly those that can assist organisations in leveraging their Microsoft Enterprise Agreements and support digital transformation projects, will find this contract particularly relevant. Engaging with COPFS could enhance their portfolios and showcase their expertise within the public sector domain.

## Notice

Microsoft technologies and services underpin most of the Tier 1 applications used across the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) including Case Management Services, Corporate Apps, Intranet, Email, VDI and Kofax Scanning. Supporting this environment is both complex and time critical. Direct access to best practice support and advice for Microsoft technology and services allows COPFS to meet our Service Level Agreements and ensure services remain available to COPFS users.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

In addition to accessing proactive support and advice this allows COPFS to plan, architect and deploy new services. This will be a key requirement for the COPFS Digital Strategy delivery plan and in particular the Digital Workplace project to ensure COPFS make best use of the Microsoft licenses and services we have recently contracted to purchase through the contract award of our Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, which includes M365 licenses for all COPFS users for the next 3 years. Whilst other routes to market were considered, COPFS ultimately chose to procure these support services through our Microsoft Enterprise Agreement partner.
