## Summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council is seeking support for its pension system through the procurement titled "Pension System Support." This tender falls under the services category, specifically related to waste haulage and general public services. The council is currently at the award stage of the procurement process, having signed the contract on 29 April 2019, with an active status and a contract value of £121,047.30. The procurement method utilised was limited, which was justified by the technical nature of the service required, as Aquila Heywood Limited is the only provider able to deliver the necessary support for the pension system, given their exclusive rights to its intellectual property. The location for the delivery of services is Dumfries, UK.

This tender presents a unique opportunity for businesses specialising in pension management systems and support services, particularly those with experience working with local authorities. Given the council's intent to conduct a comprehensive review of its pension system within a year, vendors capable of providing innovative solutions and enhancements to pension administration would benefit from this engagement. It is an ideal opportunity for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can offer tailored services, as the council aims to form a long-term partnership with a reliable service provider in preparation for future procurement processes.
