## Summary

The Common Services Agency, also known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), has completed the procurement process for the "Police Custody Software and Support Contract." The tender was conducted through a limited procurement method without prior publication of a call for competition. The contract has a minimum duration of two years, with a possibility for termination after a six-month notice period. The delivery will take place at various locations throughout Scotland, with the initiative classified under the health industry category.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in health technology and software support services. Companies with expertise in software hosting, systems support, and maintenance, especially those familiar with healthcare applications, would be well-positioned to benefit from this arrangement. The continuity of services is critical, given the existing investment and user expertise in the system currently employed by the NHS. As the contracting authority, NSS may conduct future reviews and possibly re-procure these services, making it essential for interested suppliers to stay engaged and informed about potential upcoming opportunities.
