LOT 2C - i) Inverness- receipt and transfer of mixed dry recyclables from Inverness into the Council's specified contractor's vehicles ; and ii) Inverness - receipt, storage and loading of colour segregated glass destined for recycling into the Council's specified contractor's vehicles.

Lot 1

WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES LOT 2B -i) Inverness - receipt, transfer, transport, treatment and/or disposal of residual element of Municipal Solid Waste from Inverness; and ii)Inverness - receipt of segregated food waste, transfer into the Council's containers; and iii)Inverness - receipt, transfer, transport and disposal of skip-contained, segregated domestically-produced bagged asbestos cement from recycling centres. LOT 2C - i) Inverness- receipt and transfer of mixed dry recyclables from Inverness into the Council's specified contractor's vehicles ; and ii) Inverness - receipt, storage and loading of colour segregated glass destined for recycling into the Council's specified contractor's vehicles.

### Procurement Information

Any supplier wishing to provide this service would have to operate a waste transfer station at the Lot locations - currently no other suppliers operate suitable waste transfer facilities in these areas therefore any supplier wishing to provide this service would have to build the facility. Taking into account the short duration of the proposed contract (31/12/20), it is not considered that suppliers would incur expense in planning applications and the construction of a facility as they would be unable to make a return on investment during the short length of this contract - without significantly increasing their pricing. In addition, any supplier wishing to provide this service would have to apply for planning permission in order to build this facility which is unlikely to happen prior to the end of 30/9/19. No pending planning permission applications in these areas to build a waste transfer facility has been submitted.
