## Summary

The Scottish Government has completed a procurement process for the contract titled "Social Security Experience Panels: Seldom Heard Work stream 4: Vulnerable groups." This project falls under the services industry category, specifically aimed at understanding the needs of vulnerable groups in Scotland regarding social security. The procurement method used was an open procedure, and the contract was awarded on 18th September 2019, with an estimated value of £33,950. The project's implementation will take place across various locations in Scotland, addressing groups such as the homeless, ex-prisoners, individuals affected by HIV, and veterans.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses that specialise in research, social services, or community engagement, particularly SMEs with experience in working with vulnerable populations. Companies capable of conducting qualitative research and fieldwork, as well as those that can design inclusive strategies for participant recruitment, would be well-suited to compete in similar future tenders. The ongoing need for research and consultation with seldom-heard groups indicates a continuing demand for related services, which may lead to extended contracts or further tenders in this area.
