The successful supplier will not only provide essential services concerning bovine health management but also help support the Scottish Government's agriculture and rural economy initiatives, thereby fostering growth within the sector. ## Notice To select a supplier to receive carcases and carry out post mortem examinations on bovine TB and Brucella reactor cattle and specified non-bovine species and to remove tissue samples for onward dispatch to APHA for testing, covering the period from 1st September 2019 to 31st August 2022 ### Lot Information Lot 1 The Scottish Government's Agriculture and Rural Economy Directorate, Animal Health and Welfare Division wishes to establish a contract with an appropriately qualified and experienced contractor to receive carcases and carry out post mortem examinations on bovine TB and Brucella reactor cattle and specified non-bovine species and to remove tissue samples for onward dispatch to APHA for testing, in circumstances where this cannot be carried out at a designated abattoir. Although difficult to predict and quantify, based on previous years, it is anticipated that there will be a requirement for tissue sampling and disposal for circa 25 carcasses per annum.
