## Summary

The Common Services Agency, commonly referred to as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), is initiating an upcoming procurement process for a "Prisons Clinical IT System." This planned procurement is focused on the health industry and will take place in Scotland. The expected value of the contract is £1,000,000, with a market sounding questionnaire scheduled for completion by 2pm on 31 July 2019. NSS aims to deliver this system as a managed service to various entities governed under the National Health Service (Scotland) Act, with communication regarding future notices projected for 1 October 2019.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in IT service provision, particularly those with expertise in clinical systems, software integration, and health information technologies. Companies that can offer solutions that meet the requirements for real-time prescribing functionality, stock management, and support services would be particularly well-positioned to compete. Engaging in this early procurement phase can allow businesses to align their offerings with NSS’s needs and enhance their chances of securing contracts in the growing healthcare technology sector.
