## Summary

The procurement process involves a tender issued by The Common Services Agency, commonly known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), for the provision of NHS Scotland National Uniforms. This framework agreement is aimed at supplying uniforms to various entities under the NHS in Scotland, including health boards and educational institutions, and covers locations throughout Scotland, primarily Edinburgh. The procurement is currently in the active stage, with a submission deadline set for 23rd April 2020 and an anticipated total value of £20 million over a six-year period, which includes two potential one-year extensions. The method employed for this procurement is an open procedure, allowing for broad participation.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses within the apparel and textiles industry, particularly those with experience in uniform manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain management. Companies that specialise in delivering tailored garments or have the capability to manage extensive distribution networks across multiple locations would be well-suited to compete. Furthermore, bidders should be prepared to meet stringent quality specifications and demonstrate their capacity to adhere to NHS guidelines, making this an attractive opportunity for established manufacturers looking to expand their market footprint within the public sector.
