### Lot Information

Lot 1

Background/Introduction This procurement is concerned with the provision of park & ride services connecting two peripheral car parks with Stirling City Centre and providing associated local links. The services to be procured are direct replacements for services operating at present under contract: - P1 - Springkerse Park and Ride site to Stirling Bus Station - P2 - Castleview Park and Ride site to Stirling City Centre The Springkerse and Castleview Park & Ride Services were introduced in 2006 and 2008 respectively, in order to offer car drivers enhanced opportunities to access employment, retail and other facilities in Stirling without having to drive into the City Centre. The Springkerse service also offered links from the City Centre to Springkerse Retail Park, a service particularly valued by elderly people and other people without access to cars. The Castleview service also offered links from Stirling City Centre to Castleview Business Park for people who work there and incorporated the Top of the Town area in order to replace a previous bus service, which was withdrawn. It is envisaged that both services will continue to provide similar links to those offered at present. There have been aspirations at various times to expand park & ride provision in Stirling and it is possible that additional services will be provided in the coming years. Aims and Objectives The aim of the service is to provide safe, reliable environmentally friendly and customer friendly transport for service users: Safe: safety should be evident in every aspect of the service including staff employment, training, monitoring processes and vehicle maintenance; Reliable: services should operate on time, every time; Environmentally friendly: Stirling Council is committed to reducing the environmental impact of vehicle operations across the Council area; Customer friendly: the service should be focussed on meeting customer needs in a pleasant, friendly and helpful way.

Renewal: 12 month extension available (15/9/20 - 14/9/21)
