### Lot Information

Lot 1

This procurement is for modelling to inform the detailed traffic modelling methodology for the scheme, to inform initial junction modelling tests and to provide an initial insight into the wider network route choice and potential transport economic efficiency benefits resulting from the scheme options. The base model and the updated 2017 baseline scenario model outputs will provide the basis for understanding the fit of the SRTM against observed flows (note that the 2017 flows will be based on adjusted 2018 observed flows ) and with the estimated impacts of the scheme on aspects such as noise and air quality in specific parts of the network. The scheme options to be modelled are as follows: 1. Option A - Single Carriageway alignment (DS-A); and 2. Option B - Dual Carriageway alignment (DS-B). The modelling includes the following five activities: 1. Modelling of the initial scheme options using TMfS; 2. Development of an updated 2017 baseline scenario model that reflects the November 2017 road network (one of the SRTM forecast year scenarios available is 2017) to allow comparison of the SRTM against 2017 data (2018 traffic counts adjusted to 2017); 3. Modelling of the initial scheme options using SRTM against a Reference Case that includes all the currently committed City Deal Projects including Ravenscraig Infrastructure Access (RIA) (excluding EALR); 4. Modelling of the initial scheme options using SRTM against a Reference Case that includes all the currently committed City Deal Projects excluding the RIA (excluding EALR); and 5. Extraction of zonal data from the base year SRTM.
