For the purposes of this contract, the term Domestic Abuse will include the wider remit of Violence Against Women (VAW), Honour Based Violence (HBV), Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and forced marriage (FM)

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The aim of the service is to provide specialist domestic abuse counselling sessions, complimentary therapies, advice services and/or groupwork sessions. These services will be made available to women from Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities who are experiencing, or have experienced, Domestic Abuse (DA). For the purposes of this contract, the term Domestic Abuse will include the wider remit of Violence Against Women (VAW), Honour Based Violence (HBV), Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and forced marriage (FM). This Service will provide services to BAME women who live within the City of Edinburgh and will be provided within a safe, women only environment. This will be a single sex service as defined by the Equalities Act 2010. The support should be person-centred and will enable the women to improve their self-esteem, reduce risk, recover and move on from the trauma of their current circumstances and allow her the time to make informed decisions to live a life free from abuse in the future..
