Suppliers are invited to submit detailed proposals for Internal Audit Services to ensure that: - a modern audit strategy is in place by consulting with the Director of Finance & Corporate Services, other Senior Officers and obtaining the approval of the Audit & Risk Committee; - audit plans incorporate all relevant areas of risk and that these are addressed within the aims and objectives of the work carried out by Internal Audit; - Internal Audit work is carried out in a proper manner by demonstrating that work is maintained to professional standard; - resources are used effectively and that there is sufficient resources to carry out the requirements of HHP; - Internal Audit is used in a proper manner thus avoiding any involvement in undertaking non-auditing duties while functioning in that role; - where applicable HHP's practices are in line with appropriate corporate governance principles; and - there is an effective follow-up procedure in place which ensures that where appropriate, all audit recommendations have been implemented in order to ensure that reliance can be placed on the internal controls of HHP.
