## Notice

The Scottish Ministers wish to appont a service provider to carry out post mortem examinations and tissue sampling required when cattle and specified non-bovine species suspected or confirmed as having bovine TB or Brucella are slaughtered under section 32 of the Animal Health Act 1981 and the tissue samples taken and dispatched to the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) for testing. The required post mortem examinations and tissue sampling are normally carried out at the slaughterhouse to which the animals are consigned. In any circumstances where it is not possible for animals to be slaughtered at a designated abattoir, slaughter will need to be arranged at an alternative premises where the post mortem and tissue sampling can be carried out. This Invitation to Tender relates specifically to those animals not being slaughtered at a designated abattoir and covers the whole of Scotland.
