The service provides a range of services which are available to all older people across West Lothian based on individual need. The services available are intended to be easily accessible and as such do not require a statutory Social Work Assessment. Services include but are not limited to :Group Activities ; Accompaniments to groups/introduction to local groups/Social Activities ;Volunteer drivers to provide assistance with transport to groups ; Short Terms Support ; Longer Term Support (based on individual needs);Telephone Support and Proposed Support on Discharge from Hospital.. Decision to make a direct award to allow the provider to continue to develop community services prior to any future tendering opportunity was given by the Contracts Advisory Group on 17 June 2019.
