## Summary

Edinburgh Napier University is conducting a procurement process for the provision of Specific Learning Disability (SpLD) testing services, including assessments for AD(H)D. The tender, titled "Providers of Specific Learning Disability (SpLD) testing, including AD(H)D," is currently in the active stage. It has an estimated contract value of £180,000 and a procurement method classified as an open procedure. The deadline for submissions is set for 21 August 2019, and services will be delivered to the university's location in Edinburgh.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in educational assessment, psychological services, and support for learning disabilities. Businesses with expertise in conducting diagnostic assessments for Specific Learning Difficulties and relevant qualifications, such as a SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate, would be well-suited to compete for this contract. By securing a position as one of the appointed providers, a supplier can establish a long-term partnership with a reputable educational institution and contribute to student support services.

## Notice

The Authority is seeking Contractor(s) to provide confidential student diagnostic assessment reports to support our students in applying for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA).

### Lot Information

Lot 1

It is our intention to appoint in the region of four suitably qualified and experienced providers to conduct diagnostic assessments with students who have been referred in order to assess and evaluate the likelihood of all Specific Learning Difficulties, including dyspraxia and dyscalculia, and ADHD (from an educational perspective), and to offer professional opinion on support needs and strategies and further investigation if required. We expect assessors to be alert to the possibility of visual stress and to recommend further investigation if appropriate. We will aim to allocate the service requirements equitably between the appointed providers on the framework.
