Castle Semple Country Park is a year-round facility which provides access to leisure, education and health activities to approximately 350,000 visitors per year. Castle Semple Visitor Centre currently operates from 10am - 5pm (April to September) and 10am - 4pm (October to March) and the car parks, tracks and trails are open all day, every day. Castle Semple Visitor Centre is located beside Castle Semple Loch, a 1.5-mile-long inland freshwater loch. The loch is a venue for leisure and sporting activity delivered by the Park and the adjacent sports clubs. An RSPB bird sanctuary is located on the Loch's southern shore.
